Both Okoboji and Harris-Lake Park were part of the Sibley-Ocheyedan Invite. The Pioneers finished first in their pool with a 2-1 mark, beating Graettinger-Terril and Sibley-Ocheyedan before falling to Boyden-Hull. Mikkinzie Peschong had 16 kills and five blocks, Aubry Kolegraff notched 38 assists and eleven digs, and Mary Eckard had 18 digs.
Harris-Lake Park also went 2-1, with match wins over Remsen-St. Mary’s and Sibley-Ocheyedan, after a loss to Boyden-Hull. Christine Larson registered 19 kills, including twelve alone in the match with the Generals. Lydia Brandt had eleven kills, Macy Gunderson recorded two dozen set assists and Sam Brueggeman had 27 digs. HLP is now 9-7 overall in match play and have won six of their last eight.
North of the border, Martin County West defeated GHEC/Martin Luther in four games and Fairmont was swept in three games by Waseca.
