The Spirit Lake Park girls track team competed at the Tomahawk Relays in Cherokee Friday and finished with 97 team points, which was good for fifth place. MOC-Floyd Valley took the top honors with 143 points and Spencer was in second at 128. Individually, Kendra Stokke was the lone first-place finisher for the Indians, winning the 400m hurdles in 74.80 seconds. Brianna Brunsvold wound up second in the 3000m at 11:54.09. Taking third place for SLP was Emily Mercer in the shot put (34’3”), Molly Hutchins in the discuss (104’6”), and the 4x800m relay team of Dondi Schmidt, Jessie Kabele, Bailey Heikens, and Liz Skogerboe (11:09.82).
