Emmetsburg continued play at the Ft. Dodge Softball Tournament on Saturday. After posting a 1-1 record on Friday, the E-Hawks returned to defeat Webster City, 3-0, advancing to the ninth-place game against North Sentral Kossuth/Armstrong-Ringsted. Emmetsburg would lose that game by a 10-0 final, putting their overall record at 14-5. The seventh-ranked E-Hawks will host Storm Lake tonight, and that game will be broadcast on Y100 and online at ExploreOkoboji.com.
Spencer was also involved in a weekend tournament in Moville. The Tigers lost twice on Saturday, dropping a 6-1 game against Woodbury Central before suffering 10-0 loss in six innings to Bishop Heelan. Spencer is now 5-12 on the season and hosts Cherokee on Monday.
