Patrick Woizeschke, from Spirit Lake, has qualified for the National Jr. Olympics Track Meet. At the Regional Junior Olympics meet in St. Paul, Minnesota, Woizeschke ran to a fifth place time of 67.57 seconds in the 400m hurdles to qualify for nationals. Woizeschke had previously run a time of 64.62 seconds to place third at the Iowa Jr. Olympic Meet in Johnston to advance to the regional meet that was held July 9-10. The soon-to-be high school sophomore also finished eleventh in the 1500m run. The National Jr. Olympic Track Meet will be held at Wichita State University from July 26-31.
