Harris-Lake Park picked up its first volleyball victory of the season, taking down Round Lake-Brewster in three games, 25-9, 25-16, 25-21. Sophomore Noreen Morrow tallied 14 kills, eight service aces and three blocks to lead the Wolves. Fellow sophomore Macy Gunderson registered 23 set assists. Other contributors included Leah Duitsman with a team-high nine digs, to go along with five kills, and Mariah Gath notched six kills.
In other area volleyball action, Sioux Central earned a pair of victories on Thursday. They defeated Manson NW Webster 25-13, 25-21 and Pocahontas Area/Pomeroy-Palmer 25-20, 25-12.
North of the border, Jackson County Central took down Southwest Star Concept, 25-8, 25-12,
25-14, while New Ulm needed five games to dispense of Worthington, 23-25, 25-23, 27-25, 16-25, 15-13.
