The Okoboji cross county teams had impressive showings Thursday at the thirteen-team Sioux Center meet. The boys came up just eight points shy of a team title, finishing with 62 points and right behind West Lyon (54). Joe Hilsabeck earned a silver medal, crossing the tape in 17:57 to pace the Pioneers, who had four runners finish between twelfth and 20th.
The Pioneer girls tallied 106 points to take fourth place overall. Sioux Center (38) won the meet. The top runner for Okoboji was Clare Eckard at 17:57, good for fourth individually. Olivia Albright grabbed the twelfth spot at 18:32.
