At Speier Park, the Spirit Lake-Okoboji boys tennis team escaped a tight contest with non-conference foe, Fairmont, winning a border battle over the Cardinals, 5-4 on Tuesday. Brandon Stoll, Wes Bergquist and Jackson Walsh each won singles matches, which were split evenly between the two teams. The match was decided in the doubles competition, as SL-O won the first two matchups. Stoll and Bergquist earned a 10-1 decision at No. 1, and Wiedow partnered with Ryan Willey to grab a 10-5 victory at No. 2.
