The Siouxland Conference boys’ golf standings stayed the same after the second tour meet of the season, hosted by West Lyon. Sibley-Ocheyedan’s team score of 159 was good for first place, ahead of MOC-Floyd Valley (161) by two strokes. Okoboji, again, took third with a 166. Ryan Christy of the Dutch was the meet medalist with a 37, beating out Grant Juber of the Generals in a playoff. The Pioneers counted a low score of 40 from Tyler Ohl, along with a 41 from James Halbur, a 42 by Wes Burgeson, and a 43 on the card of Mike Luhrs.
The girls Siouxland Conference tour meet was in Sheldon, and the hometown Orabs took advantage to win a tie-breaker with league-frontrunner MOC-Floyd Valley. Both teams finished at 199, marking just the third league loss for the Dutch in the past decade. Sioux Center came in third at 205, followed by Okoboji in fourth with a 211. For the second week in a row, the Pioneers own the individual low score, as Alex Mankle earned meet medalist honors with a 41. Kiley Wermesen was sixth overall with a 49.
