Rainy weather to the south prevented the Spirit Lake golf teams from competing on Thursday. Triangulars against Cherokee and Western Christian have been postponed to Thursday (April 19) of next week. The boys will play in Cherokee, the girls in Hull. The girls triangular in LeMars, which featured Estherville-Lincoln Central, Storm Lake, and the Bulldogs, was postponed to later this month on Friday, April 27. The boys, who were to play in Storm Lake, will try again today.
The rain also dampened play on the tennis courts. Conference matches between Spirit Lake-Okoboji and Spencer have been pushed back to Tuesday, April 17. The Indians will host the girls’ dual, with the boys playing on the Tigers home courts.
Estherville-Lincoln Central and Cherokee were midway through their Lakes Conference boys tennis match when the rains fell. The Midgets own a 4-1 lead through singles play, and will pick up the action on April 30 when ELC travels south to battle the Braves.
