Lakes Conference tennis on Monday had Spirit Lake-Okoboji battling Storm Lake. The girls of SL-O had a clean sweep, taking down the Tornadoes by a 9-0 final. KJ Veldman (10-1), Hannah Coenen (10-4), Rachel Westergard (10-3), Margaret Delaney (10-7), Olivia Rohlk (10-0), and Amanda Bueltel (10-0) each picked up singles victories. In doubles play, Spirit Lake-Okoboji earned wins from the duos of Coenen/Westergard (10-4), Veldman/Rohlk (10-4), along with Margaret and Natalie Delaney (10-2).

The boys match proved to be extremely tight at Speier Park, though Spirit Lake-Okoboji prevailed in the end by a 5-4 margin. Brandon Stoll (10-2), Wes Bergquist (10-5), and Connor Rowley (10-5) helped SL-O earn a split of the six singles matches. The overall match was decided when Spirit Lake-Okoboji controlled the first two doubles matches, with Stoll/Bergquist (10-4) and Rowley/Trystan Wiedow (10-7) securing the wins needed for the team victory.
