Indians Light Up the Scoreboard in Tourney Wins (Softball RoundUp)

Playing in the Sheldon tournament, the Spirit Lake bats came to life in two blowout victories. The Indians first defeated Sioux Center 10-0 behind a three-hit, five-RBI performance from Amanda Bueltel. Bailee Newman scored three times and Care Vale threw a complete game for the win. The offense really heated up in their second game, as Spirit Lake pounded out 21 runs against George-Little Rock to win by eight. The Indians improve to 5-4 and continue tournament play on Saturday.

In the Cornbelt, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire tallied a 9-5 decision over Clay Central-Everly, and North Union blew by CWL in sweeping a twin bill with wins of 12-0 and 14-1.
