The Spencer girls won’t be making a trip to the state tournament this weekend after losing the Regional Final to Sioux City East, 3-1. The Tigers scored first but couldn’t hold off East’s attack as Spencer ends its season at 16-2. The only goal came from senior Ashley Williamson, her 20th of the season.
Spencer says goodbye to eight seniors, Ashley Williamson, who will play soccer and basketball at Northwestern College next year, Whitney Armstrong, Sierra Beschorner, Julia Winterboer, Laura Seeley, Maddie Gould, Brianne Hassman and Emily Elliott.
