The second week of point racing at the Jackson Speedway saw plenty of action on The Shear Shack and Griffith Decorative Concrete Night. A total of 78 cars turned out to compete in the six classes at the speedway.
In Saturday night’s heat race action, wins went to Aaron Betz of Avoca, MN and Nate Coopman of Mankato, MN in the Sport Compacts, while Justing Nehring of Storm Lake, IA and Drew Bargloff of Sioux Rapids, IA claiming the Hobby Stock heat race wins. In the Sport Modified heats, Greg Sidles of Emmetsburg, IA and Matthew Looft of Swea City, IA took the heat victories and in the 305 Sprints, Ryan Voss of Okoboji, IA and Isaac Schreuers of Sioux Falls, SD claimed the heat checkers. For the Stock cars, Trent Schroeder of Worthington, MN and Luke Sathoff of Jackson, MN were the heat race winners and in the 360 Sprints, Jason Eckard of Milford, IA and Skyler Prochaska of Lakefield, MN claimed the heat honors.
Feature wins went to Nate Coopman in the Sport compacts, Justin Nehring in the Hobby Stocks, Greg Sidles in the Sport Modifieds, Ryan Voss in the 305 sprints, Luke Sathoff in the Stock Cars and Skyler Prochaska repeating for the 360 Sprint feature win.
The season continues Saturday night, June 16, with State Bank of Fairmont as the sponsor and a special race featuring A Modifieds in the first visit of the North Star Series to the Jackson Speedway. Action in all six classes will get underway with hot laps starting at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
