Harris-Lake Park Makes Easy Work of Trinity Christian (Baseball RoundUp)




Make it a third straight win for Harris-Lake Park,
as the Wolves needed just five innings to beat non-conference foe Trinity
Christian 11-1 on Friday. Eli Ihnen picked up the win on the mound. At the
plate, Tanner Hiveley went 2-for-3 with a double and a home run, finishing with
three runs batted in. Kade Heikens also notched a pair of hits to help HLP
reach a 13-8 mark overall. The Wolves return to conference play Monday for a
rivalry showdown in the Cornbelt Conference as
Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire comes to town.

Drama unfolded in Spencer as the Tigers beat Western
Christian, 4-3, in a walkoff. Starting pitcher Tayler Tatman helped his own
cause with an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh to score Zevin Carlson.
Spencer’s league record improves to an even 6-6 with a home game set for Monday
against Cherokee.

In the Siouxland Conference, Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley earned
a 15-7 win over Sioux Center, and  Central Lyon topped George-Little Rock by an 8-2 final.
