With the completion of a doubleheader sweep in the Lakes
Conference on Monday, Emmetsburg will have their hands on a share of the league
crown for the fourth consecutive year. The E-Hawks, who defeated rival Spencer,

in four innings, create a three-way tie atop the standings with
Estherville-Lincoln Central and LeMars at 11-3. Overall, seventh-ranked
Emmetsburg ends the regular season at 29-9, having won thirteen of their last
14 games. The E-Hawks have a first-round bye in the Class 2A
Regionals and will open play on Thursday against the winner of South O’Brien at
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn.
