Spirit Lake Beats ELC, 52-21

The Spirit Lake Indians wrapped up their season with a 52-21
win over Estherville-Lincoln Central, Friday night, on Senior Night at Hafer
Field.

Two seniors had particularly big games for the Indians, as
Cody Poock and Casey Spaeth scored three touchdowns apiece.  Poock scored on touchdown runs of 10 and 77
yards, in the first quarter, and then hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass from
Paul Brown in the second quarter.

Spaeth, meanwhile, scored on a 7-yard run, a 34-yard pass
from Brown, and a 42-yard punt return for a touchdown.

Senior Bryson McCabe also scored on a punt return, as he
took one back 54 yards in the second quarter.

The Indians finish with an 8-1 overall record, 6-0 in their
district.  They’ll be home, next
Wednesday, against MOC-Floyd Valley, who beat Sioux Center,
35-14 tonight.
